About the Guest:

Karen Campbell joined the 13News team in 2019. She comes to Central Indiana from Baltimore, Maryland. Karen spent five years in Baltimore as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WBAL and FOX45 and has worked in several other markets. Karen was born and raised in Maryland and got her undergraduate degree in mass communications from Bowie State University. She is the daughter of a retired DC Public Schools teacher/librarian and the youngest of four girls – two of which are retired military and the other a retired police officer. Her family still questions how she got the journalism bug, as she was extremely shy as a child. Karen holds a national fitness certification and enjoys teaching Zumba. She loves to travel and loves adventure.
